Our standard meetings include an interesting speaker, a cup of tea or coffee and the opportunity to meet other members. There is always a raffle and every other month a book exchange scheme. West Wickham Photographic Society

The Society aims to provide a friendly atmosphere where members can discuss both the technical and artistic problems of picture taking. The emphasis is on the artistic quality of the work rather than the equipment used to produce it; some of our members have done well with quite modest equipment.

We welcome photographers of all skill levels, from complete novices through to professionals. People who have not really thought about photography as a skill will gain much by joining.

Newcomers can just come along and watch what we do but do expect to be encouraged to participate in the Society's activities. Our only expectation is that members have a camera and use it.

Members do not need a darkroom or a computer - commercially produced prints or images are accepted in our competitions. The only requirement is the author must have pressed the button on the camera!

Every Tuesday in Medhurst Hall 8.00 – 10.00pm September to May

For more details please contact Laura Taylor 07941 125021 or Tony Warran 07803 081829

West Wickham Singers

A new choir aimed at people in the local community who enjoy singing.
Our leader, Janet Haney, is an international pianist and singing coach. She believes that everybody is able to sing, given the opportunity to develop their voices in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere and given the right guidance.
No auditions, but there will be a short test available for people unsure of where their voice belongs (soprano – alto or tenor – bass). Reading music is an advantage but not a necessity.
We rehearse from 8 to 10pm on Mondays with a comfort break around 9pm. Light refreshments available.
Rehearsals take place in Medhurst Hall
